February Wines of the Month

This February, in celebration of Black History Month, the Superbowl, and Valentines Day, I have some extra special picks for you all! Check out these delicious wines below!

Intercept Red Blend

Charles Woodson, a former NFL player for the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers, found his love of wine when in Napa Valley at a training camp early in his career. Now retired from football, Charles spends his days in Paso Robles making wines with head winemaker Amanda Gorter.

The name Intercept is a nod to Woodson's Football career, but have no question, these are serious wines at an amazing price. I love both the Cabernet and Red Blend, but I especially appreciate the spicy herbs and tobacco flavors showcased in the Red Blend.

Delicious blend of 40% Petite Sirah, 30% Zinfandel, 15% Petite Verdot

Miraval Rosé

Nothing says Valentines Day like a little Pink! This Miraval Rosé was a collaboration between the famous winemaking Perrin family in France and everyone's favorite celeb ex-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!

So whether you want to celebrate the love they once had, or crack open the bottle for Singles Appreciation Day, this Rosé is the perfect pick for a little Valentine's Day splash.

Miraval is a classic Provence style Rosé, a blend of the grapes Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Syrah. Vinified in stainless steel, there is vibrant aromas of fresh red fruit, rose petals and a zest of lemon. This was the first ever Rosé to be featured in Wine Spectator's Top 100. Pick up a bottle at your local store and give it a try this February!

Let me know your thoughts and what wines you will be trying out this February!

Until next time, Happy Sippin'!
