Top 5 Wine Bars in L.A.

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

Whenever I want to escape the hectic city lifestyle, but can't actually escape the city, I look to some of my favorite little wine bars to keep calm and wine on ;) I know there are many more that could be included on this list, but these are so far my favorite little wine bar gems in L.A. Comment below with your favorites!

A Day in L.A.:

Flask Fine Wine & Whisky: (Studio City CA) I put this top of the list because this place is truly special, it's actually a wine store, not really a bar, but they do have a small bar in the back of the store and they host wine tastings Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm to 8:30pm. Each week they focus on a different country and taste you through wines that you've probably never heard of! The employees of the store are extremely knowledgable and passionate. This is where I went weekly when I was studying for my wine exams and I learned so much and tasted great wine!

Urban Press Winery: (Burbank, CA) This is another little gem I found in the heart of Downtown, Burbank. I have to say their Cabernet Franc is one of the best wines I have EVER had! The prices are unbeatable. $25 average for a bottle and they sell wine even cheaper if you want to take a few bottles home. Live music Thursday through Sunday, super cozy bar if you want a wine flight and tables upstairs on their outside patio for more of a dining experience (Super yummy Margherita Pizza). Perfect date night or girls night out, although if you plan to see a movie afterwards at the theatre across the street, be warned that you might have too good of a time and just decide to cancel the movie to stay and enjoy another glass (as I have done on countless occasions)

Bacari W 3rd: (Beverly Grove, CA) Looking for an affordable, cute, and yummy date night spot? Look no further! Bacari is one of my favorite go to dinner places in L.A., Beautiful outdoor ambience, yummy tapas style plates, and a wine list to boot! I also love their carafes of Chianti that give you a little extra bang for your buck if you have someone to share with ;)

Froma on Melrose: (Beverly Grove, CA) Froma is a delightful little wine bar right on Melrose, perfect little place to stop in for a glass and a snack. My recommended day out is to go to the Melrose Trading Post on Sunday for some shopping and then stop in here after for some much needed shopping recovery. Or do vice versa and give yourself a little more liquid courage for those flea market buys ;)

Mignon: (Downtown, LA) This was one of my very first favorite finds when I moved to L.A. I walked into this dimly lit, romantic little wine bar, the bartender greeted me in a thick French accent, and helped me taste and decide my wine of choice from their authentic list. If you've ever wanted to spend a night in a little French cafe, sipping on some European wines matched with incredible cheese and charcuterie, this is as close as you are going to get in L.A.
